Approximately 750 students, staff and families from Westminster School raised over $11 000 at their 'Walk for a Purpose' TANZEED fundraiser event on September 9th, 2022. The event was organised by Reverend Phil Hoffman (pictured) from Westminster. 70 staff and year 11 and 12 students walked for 3 hours from Henley Beach to Marion, departing at 530am. The walk symbolised the 13 km distance students in Kiserian have to walk TWICE a day to attend the nearest government school. Younger Westminster students participated in a 1.6km walk on the school grounds. The funds raised are to help TANZEED continue the building of a local school - Namelock- to prevent children in Kiserian from having to walk these exhausting and time consuming distances.
Thanks to all involved for their generous support!
