Work is almost complete in the digging for a large underground water cistern for Namelock School to address the urgent need for clean water. Despite the challenges of hitting rock, the excavation is near completion. We thank the generousity of donors from Australia in supporting this critical need. We hope this will enable storage and access to a clean, safe water supply once the wet season arrives. This will prevent our students ( usually the girls) from undertaking the gruelling 2 hour daily walk for water that has been causing them to miss important schooling. It will also help prevent disease and illness from drinking unclean water.
